One year follow up is scheduled for August 31st. My blood work has all come back normal and I am PSYCHED! After having my life put on hold, I am up and running!!! Back to work full-time doing what I love in nursing! But most importantly, playing hard and loving life with my amazing family!

Well, we are headed back to the surgeon on the 16th. I have been feeling ill since January and have had lots of tests done...all of which have been normal for the most part. However a CT of the Abd showed that one of the two masses I did not have to have removed last year, has grown and is pushing into my liver and could be what has been causing my symptoms. These are not the same types of tumors as the one I had last year, but we are seeing the same surgeon because he is familiar with them and we trust his opinions. I also have a gallstone which may be the culprit as well. So once again we wait.

It has been quite a long while since I posted on this blog...where has the time gone!

We had a wonderful vacation in Bar Harbor, ME...one of our favorite spots...the first two weeks of August. It was so great to be able to hike and bike without feeling terrible during and after. And it was a great time with the family.

On August 20th I followed up with my Endocrinologist and was given a clean bill of health. I will be following up with him on a yearly basis from now on. And so with the good news, it was time to start putting my life "back to normal"....

So, the kids went back to school and I started a new job...which lasted two weeks. I won't go into details, but let's say it was just "unprofessional." I had been keeping my eyes open for something better, something perfect to come along, and I think that I have found it. I am now working back at hospital I worked at prior to my illness last year, but in a new area. I work in a recovery area for invasive cardiology. So far I enjoy it very much. It is a small dept. of 5 beds and I work 2 or 3 days per week for 12 hour shifts. They are closed for weekends and holidays.

The kids and hubby are all doing great as well!
